TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan military plans to increase its training's intensity next year to simulate actual combat, the Ministry of National Defense said on Monday (Dec. 12).
Taiwan's military training has consisted of prone position shooting so far. The Ministry reportedly ordered to add kneeling and standing positions shooting, and mobile point shooting to the training, as well as limited space land combat.
Non-combat military troops will also be required to join the combat training and keep fit.
The change in the military drills is reportedly due to the soon expansion of the military delegation to the United States, to promote the exchange of military training.
