TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan celebrated its 113th National Day on Thursday (Oct. 10) with a series of vibrant performances, military displays, and tributes to its national heritage.
The celebration, held in front of the Presidential Office in Taipei, kicked off with a dramatic flyover by the Brave Eagles Aerobatics Team, flying low over the ceremony stage. The aerial display set the tone for the day’s events, showcasing Taiwan’s aviation capabilities and drawing applause from the crowd.
Following the aerobatic spectacle, the Taipei First Girls' High School drum and flag team performed an energetic routine. Next, the Ministry of National Defense’s joint military band took the stage, impressing the audience with precision drills and expert weapon-handling demonstrations.
Taiwan's Olympic athletes also appeared in the parade, greeted with cheers and applause as they passed through the crowd, symbolizing the nation’s pride in its sports heroes.
The day concluded with the Thunder Tiger Aerobatics Team returning to the skies. Releasing trails of blue, white, and red smoke — the colors of Taiwan’s national flag — they flew low over Taipei, drawing a final round of applause as the crowd waved in farewell. This marked the perfect end to the National Day celebration.
The event underscored Taiwan's unity and resilience, drawing thousands from across the country to commemorate the founding of the Republic of China.
