TAICHUNG (TVBS News) — Taichung is preparing for a star-studded New Year's Eve celebration with a lineup that includes Korean hip-hop artist Jessi, as revealed at a press event on Tuesday (Dec. 19).
Hosted by Golden Bell Awards hosts Ken Lin and Gladys Tsai, the event promises an evening of entertainment. The festivities will kick off with Taiwan-based Malaysian artist Namewee, accompanied by a group of dancers.
As the countdown to 2024 approaches, Taiwan's Nick Chou will take the stage with a special medley of rearranged hits.
Jessi will be the highlight of the celebration, delivering a performance of nearly 40 minutes, along with a surprise twist to captivate the audience.
The star-studded lineup also includes musicians Crowd Lu, Nine Chen, Kenny Khoo, Gail, and Chang Ruo-fan, as well as bands like Cosmos People and Amazing Show, ensuring a night of diverse musical enjoyment.
Adding to the spectacle, the night sky will light up with a 180-second international-level fireworks display.
The event will be broadcast by Taiwan Broadband Communications (TBC), Sanlih Entertainment Television (SET TV), and Taiwan Television Enterprise (TTV), reaching a wide audience.
For those on the go, the celebration will be live-streamed on platforms like Taiwan Mobile's MyVideo, ensuring everyone across the country can join in the festivities.
