TAOYUAN (TVBS News) — A CM-34 Clouded Leopard military vehicle accidentally hit a traffic mirror during a maneuver on the road during an anti-landing drill at Taiwan's Taoyuan City on Thursday (July 13).

An armored vehicle from the 584th Brigade was participating in the military drill in Dayuan District when a passerby filmed the incident.

In the video uploaded to Facebook's "New.Reporter" group, the soldiers seemingly underestimated the chain gun's barrel length as he drove past the mirror, making a massive dent before ultimately bringing it to the ground.

A spokesman for the Sixth Army Corps, Shih Shun-wen, later stated that the unit immediately informed the district's civil affairs office and the local police station.

"We'll take complete responsibility for covering the repair costs," he added. As the annual Han Kuang exercise draws near, Taiwan's military continues honing the drills before the annual event.
