TAIPEI (TVBS News) — South Korean girl group TWICE launched their "THIS IS FOR" world tour at the Taipei Dome (台北大巨蛋) on Friday (March 20), performing before thousands of fans known as ONCEs, the group's official fandom name. The K-pop nonet will perform three consecutive nights at Taiwan's largest indoor arena. Member Dahyun (다현) is absent from all Taipei performances due to a stress fracture in her ankle.

Taiwanese member Tzuyu (쯔위, 子瑜) arrived in Taiwan ahead of her bandmates, who landed on Thursday (March 19) evening. The group departed the airport quickly, bypassing media and fans who had gathered to greet them. Concert organizers arranged support activities across Taipei to mark TWICE's debut performance at the Taipei Dome, the city's 40,000-seat multipurpose stadium that opened in 2023.

Promotional activities include pop-up shops at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park (松山文創園區) and Huashan 1914 Creative Park (華山1914文化創意產業園區). Taipei Metro (台北捷運), the city's mass transit system, operates themed train cars, while Maokong Gondola (貓空纜車) features dedicated cabins decorated for the event. Metro gates at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall Station (國父紀念館站) play sound effects recorded by TWICE members when passengers tap their transit cards.

Member Sana (사나) will appear at Taipei 101, Taiwan's iconic skyscraper, on Monday (March 23) for the Polo Ralph Lauren Polo Play spring-summer pop-up event after the concert series concludes. The appearance extends TWICE's Taiwan visit beyond the three-night concert run, giving fans additional opportunities to see the group. ◼
