TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Anticipation filled the air at Kaohsiung International Airport as fans from across Taiwan gathered on Thursday (March 12) to welcome K-pop sensations BOYNEXTDOOR and Red Velvet's Wendy. The artists arrived to participate in the 2026 Kaohsiung Sakura Festival (2026高雄櫻花季), scheduled from Friday (March 13) to Sunday (March 15) at Dream Mall.
Fans began lining up as early as midnight outside the terminal, eager to catch a glimpse of their idols. They came equipped with support light sticks, photo cards, and banners, demonstrating their dedication and enthusiasm. The festival promises an exciting array of performances, with BOYNEXTDOOR headlining the first day.
Meanwhile, artists like SUPER JUNIOR-D&E, HIGHLIGHT, and VIVIZ will also grace the stage, contributing to the multicultural music celebration. Mandopop stars such as Genie Chuo (卓文萱) and Hua Chen (陳華) will add to the vibrant atmosphere, ensuring three days of springtime musical revelry in Kaohsiung.
