TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwanese pop group Icyball (冰球樂團) will perform at the Taipei Music Center (台北流行音樂中心) on May 2 at 7 p.m., marking the band's first appearance on this prestigious stage in their 13-year career. The concert, titled "Sorry" (我很抱歉), promises an upgraded stage performance and exclusive mystery gifts for fans.
The Ticket Plus (遠大售票系統) platform will start selling concert tickets on Jan. 24 at 11 a.m. The band members have hinted at delivering an enhanced experience, complete with surprises for attendees. Known for their neo-retro romantic style, Icyball has captivated the Mandarin music scene, with their latest album "Sorry" topping digital music charts.
Over 13 years, Icyball has evolved from playing in small venues for 50 people to performing on stages that accommodate 5,000. Keyboardist Meng (蒙) emphasized his commitment to delivering a show with "500% energy" regardless of the audience size. Lead singer Wang (王) looks forward to a massive sing-along with the audience and plans to enhance the performance's arrangement, equipment, and personal standards.
Nelson, the bassist, expressed his hopes for the audience, saying he wants them to laugh until they cry, cry until they faint, and sing until they are too tired to continue. To prepare, he said that he has intensified his physical training to ensure high energy levels. The concert will feature a VIP area on the first floor, where exclusive mystery gifts will be distributed. Nelson described these gifts as "long, soft, and with a distinctive color" and reminded fans not to miss out.
