Other regions will remain sunny to partly cloudy throughout the day.
The cold front persists through Tuesday (Jan. 6), with reduced moisture bringing occasional showers to windward areas while most regions remain sunny to partly cloudy. WeatherRisk forecasts drier conditions for Wednesday (Jan. 7) and Thursday (Jan. 8), with generally sunny to partly cloudy skies across the island. Daytime warmth will contrast sharply with nighttime cooling, as temperatures drop to around 10 degrees Celsius (50°F), with colder spots potentially falling to 5 degrees Celsius (41°F).
The cold front weakens by Friday (Jan. 9), but low temperatures persist with nighttime lows ranging between 10 and 14 degrees Celsius (50-57.2°F). Another brief surge of cold air strengthens the cold front on Saturday (Jan. 10), maintaining sunny to partly cloudy conditions with noticeable nighttime cooling. By Sunday (Jan. 11), the cold air weakens and transitions to an easterly wind environment, with nighttime temperatures rising slightly to between 11 and 15 degrees Celsius (51.8-59°F).
The week remains colder than usual across Taiwan, with northern and northeastern regions experiencing persistently chilly weather conditions throughout the period. Central and southern areas face warm days and cold nights, resulting in significant temperature fluctuations that residents should prepare for accordingly. WeatherRisk advises residents across the island to dress in layers and take precautions to manage the variable and unseasonably cold conditions expected through the week. ◼
