The electrifying performances at Kaohsiung National Stadium (高雄國家體育場) successfully drew 180,000 enthusiastic fans and pushed Saturday's metro ridership to a record-breaking 350,000 passengers. The major concerts delivered substantial and measurable economic impact to Taiwan's second-largest city and southern economic hub.
Mayor Chen reported bustling crowds in commercial districts, night markets, and accommodations during a city council meeting Monday (Nov. 24), with the popular Rueifong Night Market (瑞豐夜市) staying crowded until 3 or 4 a.m. The city's Economic Development Bureau (經濟發展局) strategically distributed exclusive blue discount coupons worth NT$50 (around US$1.59) each during the concerts. The promotional coupons were usable at over 40 commercial districts and 400 designated stores across the city for maximum economic impact.
Hotai Motor (和泰集團) offered substantial transportation discounts, allowing fans to use special promotional codes for NT$1,000 (around US$31.85) off shared scooters iRent and taxi rides with yoxi. Ten Kaohsiung bars created special cocktails dedicated to ONCE, TWICE's official fandom name, offering attractive buy-one-get-one-free deals and complimentary meals with ticket stubs. These partner bars achieved an impressive 80% reservation rate during the concert weekend, demonstrating strong economic impact.
The discount coupons fans received during concerts remain valid until Feb. 28, 2026, strategically encouraging return visits to Kaohsiung for future purchases and sustained economic impact. The Asia Artist Awards (AAA), a major Korean entertainment industry event, will take place in Kaohsiung in December, promising another significant economic boost to the city. Chen stated Kaohsiung National Stadium (高雄國家體育場) has been fully booked for 2026, with other major groups waiting until 2027 for available performance slots. ◼
