TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Yomiuri Giants (ジャイアンツ, 讀賣巨人) official cheerleading squad VENUS announced Friday (Nov. 21) their first overseas exclusive performance on Dec. 20 at Taipei's CLAPPER STUDIO. The Japanese squad will perform afternoon and evening shows at Syntrend Creative Park (三創生活園區), Taiwan's digital entertainment hub.
VENUS has never performed outside Japan with full lineup since 1994, making this historic opportunity for international connection. The Taipei show features five themes: Japanese style, history, exchange, charm, and surprise. Performance includes traditional Japanese instruments, costume designs and globally renowned anime theme songs.
Organizers hinted at surprise guest appearance and will unveil new VENUS captain for 2026. VENUS's Taiwan return follows successful CTBC Brothers (中信兄弟) appearance in September, where their performance captivated audiences. This show responds to Taiwanese fan enthusiasm for their first full overseas exclusive performance. ◼
