Meteorologists predict mixed weather conditions across Taiwan's remaining regions, with partly cloudy to sunny skies dominating most areas. Hualien County faces localized rainfall while Yilan County expects sporadic showers throughout the day. The weather service forecasts afternoon thunderstorms south of Chiayi County and in mountainous areas, with cooler temperatures arriving Sunday (Oct. 20) as northeast monsoons strengthen.
Relief from the heat wave approaches as forecasters predict temperature drops beginning Sunday (Oct. 20) through Monday (Oct. 21). The Keelung North Coast, eastern regions, Hengchun Peninsula (恆春半島), and Greater Taipei's mountainous areas will likely see rainfall with notably cooler conditions.
