TAIPEI (TVBS News) — South Korean group SUPER JUNIOR's L.S.S. unit captivated fans at the Taipei Dome (台北大巨蛋) during a Fubon Guardians (富邦悍將) baseball game Sunday (Sept. 21). The trio, consisting of Leeteuk, Siwon, and Shindong, served as ceremonial first pitch guests and post-game performers. Their appearance drew significant attention from baseball fans and K-pop enthusiasts at Taiwan's premier baseball venue.
Leeteuk impressed the audience by throwing a perfect pitch that did not touch the ground during the Fubon Guardians themed event. The group performed their classic hit 'Sorry, Sorry' to enthusiastic fans after the game. Siwon showcased his fluent Mandarin skills, praising Leeteuk's pitching performance and inviting Fubon Group Chairman Daniel M. Tsai (蔡明忠), Taiwan's prominent business leader, to their November concert.
Fans humorously speculated about Siwon's keen observation of the Taipei Dome, jokingly suggesting he might purchase the venue. Many viewed the event as a venue inspection for L.S.S.'s upcoming concert at the dome. Fubon Guardians player Lin Che-Hsuan (林哲瑄) celebrated his 37th birthday by playing his final professional game, sharing heartfelt moments with fans and teammates to mark his career's end. ◼
