TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Apex Aviation (安捷航空) signed a strategic partnership with TEKEVER Thursday (Sept. 18) at the Taipei Aerospace & Defense Technology Exhibition (TADTE, 台北國際航太暨國防工業展). Apex Chairman Kao Chien-yu (高健祐) and TEKEVER CEO Ricardo Mendes formalized the collaboration agreement. The partnership aims to enhance Taiwan's unmanned aerial capabilities through advanced drone technology integration.
Apex plans to introduce TEKEVER's AR3 drones to enhance manned-unmanned teaming (MUM-T) capabilities in Taiwan. The AR3 has accumulated over 10,000 flight hours in Ukraine and participated in U.K. Royal Air Force electronic warfare programs. The drone system has also engaged in U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) exercises, demonstrating proven combat performance.
Apex intends to integrate three AR3 drones and collaborate with TEKEVER to advance MUM-T development in Taiwan. The company will leverage its flight training expertise to offer training for medium and large-sized drone operators. Apex is discussing with National Ilan University (NIU, 宜蘭大學) to establish operational sites through industry-academia collaboration.
Apex showcased a simulated maritime intelligence center during the exhibition, demonstrating real-time data transmission capabilities. The system displayed the ability to swiftly target large vessels and small boats through advanced surveillance technology. The demonstration highlighted Taiwan's growing capabilities in maritime domain awareness and unmanned systems integration. ◼
