TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwanese technology firm Advantech (研華) announced Thursday (Aug. 7) that its consolidated revenue for July reached approximately NT$6.01 billion (around US$201.3 million), marking a year-on-year increase of 19.44% and setting a record high for the period. The company also reported cumulative revenue for the first seven months totaling NT$41.196 billion (around US$1.38 billion), reflecting a year-on-year increase of 22.78%.
Company data highlights robust double-digit growth across key regions during July, with North America advancing 19%, Europe climbing 26%, China rising 22%, Taiwan surging 44%, and emerging markets soaring 88%. Japan recorded more modest single-digit growth, while South Korea experienced a slight decline in sales performance during the period.
Advantech chief financial officer Eric Chen (陳清熙) stated Wednesday (Aug. 6) that the third quarter is expected to be particularly strong, with second-half revenue anticipated to surpass first-half performance. Chen noted that negative impacts from exchange rate fluctuations and tariffs remain largely under control. The executive also predicted that revenue share from Edge AI applications will exceed 20% by year-end.
Industrial computer manufacturer APLEX Technology (維田) also released its second-quarter financial report, revealing consolidated revenue reached NT$252 million (around US$8.4 million), representing quarterly growth of 22.32% and annual growth of 4.66%. Growth stemmed from urgent customer orders during the tariff buffer period and rebounding project orders. Exchange rate fluctuations caused approximately NT$11 million (around US$368,400) in losses, resulting in after-tax net profit of NT$9.94 million (around US$333,000), a modest year-on-year increase of 0.75%.
