TAIPEI (TVBS News) — A rising star in Taiwan's baseball entertainment scene is expanding her reach across East Asia. Fubon Sports & Entertainment (富邦育樂), a major Taiwanese sports conglomerate, revealed Thursday (April 10) that South Korean cheerleader Lee Jueun (李珠珢) has secured a position with the LG TWINS, a prominent team in the Korea Baseball Organization. The company confirmed that Lee will maintain her dual-market presence by continuing her role with the Fubon Guardians (富邦悍將), one of Taiwan's premier professional baseball teams.
The sports management firm portrayed Lee's expanded regional presence as a strategic win-win arrangement for all parties involved. Executives highlighted that her new Korean baseball responsibilities would not diminish her participation in Fubon Guardians' promotional events or her commercial activities within Taiwan's entertainment industry. According to company officials, Lee's management agreement specifically accommodates international career development while preserving her contractual obligations to Taiwanese promotions, effectively allowing her to build a pan-Asian entertainment brand.
The South Korean performer has proven to be a substantial commercial asset since joining the Fubon Angels, the official cheerleading team for the Guardians, earlier in the season. Working alongside compatriots Lee AYong (李雅英) and Nam Min-jeong (南珉貞), she has helped transform game attendance figures and revenue streams. Her star power was particularly evident during the team's home opener last week, when her appearances on Wednesday and Thursday helped draw a remarkable crowd of 22,419 spectators, coinciding with noticeable spikes in team merchandise purchases.
The cheerleader, visibly moved by the enthusiastic reception from Taiwanese baseball enthusiasts, publicly conveyed her appreciation for the warm welcome she has received since arriving in Taiwan. Lee pledged to intensify her efforts to reward fans for their unwavering support. Meanwhile, Fubon's management team is actively developing an expanded commercial strategy around their popular performer, with plans to increase her participation in product endorsements and interactive fan experiences throughout Taiwan. The company indicated that a comprehensive schedule of appearances would be released in the coming weeks.
