Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-che (黃偉哲) led a delegation of six local businesses showcasing more than 50 distinctive agricultural and fishery products from Taiwan's renowned food capital. The city's exhibition strategy features four elegantly designed booths united under the "Sweet Tainan" theme, with vibrant pineapple imagery serving as the visual cornerstone to attract international buyers and visitors.
During the opening events, Mayor Huang underscored Tainan's prestigious reputation as Taiwan's gastronomic heartland, rich with culinary traditions dating back centuries. The mayor expressed optimism that the exhibition would forge valuable commercial relationships between Tainan's producers and international distributors, potentially unlocking new export opportunities across global markets. Visitors to the Tainan pavilion encountered an impressive array of regional specialties: delicate orchids from Symon Agricultural Biotech (世茂蘭花), savory fish-flavored crackers from the Tainan City Fisherman's Association (漁會鱻味餅), artisanal sesame sticks from Chia Chen (嘉振芝麻棒), and refreshing pomelo juice from Green Garden Farm (綠園牧場文旦柚子汁).
Tainan City officials emphasized the strategic importance of participating in what they described as Southeast Asia's most influential professional food exhibition.
