TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Starlux Airlines (星宇航空) announced on Tuesday (Feb. 11) its new Taipei-Ontario, California route, set to launch June 2. The service will operate four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, using Airbus A350 aircraft with 306 seats. Tickets are available now, marking Ontario as Starlux's fourth North American destination.
Chai Chien-hua (翟健華), CEO of Starlux Airlines, highlighted Ontario's proximity to Los Angeles International Airport and its advantages, such as quicker customs clearance and less congestion. Chai hopes these features will attract more travelers between Greater Los Angeles and Asia. Starlux offers 10 weekly flights to Los Angeles (L.A.), and passengers will gain more flexibility with the new Ontario route.
Located east of Los Angeles, Ontario provides easy access to major attractions. Travelers can reach Disneyland in about 40 minutes by car, enhancing its appeal as a convenient entry point. The drive from Ontario to Las Vegas saves 1.5 to 2 hours compared to other routes, making it a strategic hub. Its proximity to Asian communities aligns with Starlux's Southeast Asian destinations, offering travelers more convenient options.
