TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Central Weather Administration (CWA, 氣象署) reported mostly cloudy to sunny weather Tuesday (Feb. 11) across Taiwan, with sporadic showers expected on the northern coast of Keelung, the eastern regions, and the Hengchun Peninsula. Meteorologist Lin Te-en (林得恩) warned that weather conditions will become unstable nationwide by the Lantern Festival on Wednesday.

Some areas from Taoyuan to Kaohsiung and Hualien reported temperatures below 10 degrees. Daytime highs are expected to reach 21 to 24 degrees, with southern areas possibly hitting 25 to 26 degrees.
For Wednesday's Lantern Festival, experts forecast temperatures between 14 to 20 degrees in the north and northeast, 15 to 21 degrees in central and southern areas, and 16 to 22 degrees in Hualien and Taitung. The Penghu region will see temperatures from 14 to 18 degrees, with Kinmen at 11 to 19 degrees and Matsu at 9 to 15 degrees.
