TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taoyuan International Airport (桃園國際機場) launched its Taoyuan International Airport Food Fair (桃機好FOOD有 五星美食探險去) on Monday (Dec. 16), inviting travelers to embark on a culinary adventure. The event will run through Feb. 14, 2025, offering exclusive dining discounts and gift opportunities to enhance the airport experience.
Board Director, President & CEO Fan Hsiao-lun (范孝倫) transformed into a five-star chef to promote the fair. He revealed that passenger traffic from January to November 2024 reached 40,906,058, about 92% of the same period in 2019. Fan emphasized the airport's ongoing efforts to improve dining services by introducing intelligent hot food vending machines and self-ordering kiosks.
The airport corporation has upgraded its services to meet diverse traveler needs, offering free showers, massage chairs, a children's play area, eco-friendly smart restrooms, and multifunctional nursing rooms. Fan noted that the airport has integrated Google Maps to provide special offers, allowing travelers to present an interactive screen at restaurants to enjoy exclusive discounts.
