NEW TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Yehliu Geopark (野柳地質公園) announced on Friday (Nov. 29) that visitors can enjoy half-price admission of NT$60 this weekend to celebrate Team Taiwan's victory at the WBSC Premier12. The offer applies to all nationalities, allowing more people to explore the park's unique geological features.
The park's announcement comes as the Chinese Taipei baseball team defied expectations in the recent Premier12 tournament, defeating Japan 4-0 in the finals. Despite being initially underestimated, the team showcased remarkable skill and determination, making their victory a historic achievement.
The park's celebratory discount coincides with a recent clarification issued to the public. Yehliu Geopark addressed misleading information about a supposed "Yehliu Night Tours" (野柳石光) event in early December, labeling it as false and urging people not to be deceived by fake social media pages.
Located in Wanli District (萬里區), New Taipei City (新北市), Yehliu Geopark is renowned for its sandstone formations, sculpted by years of seawater erosion. Iconic landmarks include the Queen's Head, Fairy Shoe, and Mushroom Rock, drawing tourists to witness these natural wonders.
