TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taipei City will offer residents two free screenings of the action movie "Weekend in Taipei" (台北追緝令), produced by Luc Besson (盧貝松), according to a social media post on Friday (Sept. 20), after Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an (蔣萬安) made the related announcement a day earlier.
The first screening will be held on Sept. 23 at Shin Shin Showtime Cinemas (欣欣秀泰影城) in Taipei's Zhongshan District (中山區). Attendees can start lining up at 5:30 p.m., with entry beginning at 7:20 p.m. The movie will start at 7:30 p.m.
The second screening will unfold on Sept. 24 at Taipei in89 Deluxe Digital Cinema (台北in89豪華影城) in Wanhua District (萬華區). The queue will open at 6 p.m., entry will be at 7:50 p.m., and the movie will begin at 8 p.m.
Cai Chang International Inc. (采昌國際多媒體) announced the event on its Facebook page, stressing that only Taipei residents with a valid ID can attend. The event will not accept photocopies, photos, or digital versions of IDs. No prior registration is required.
Each participant can receive one ticket, which is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. The cinema and organizers reserve the right to refuse entry 20 minutes after the movie starts.
