TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan Michelin Restaurants (台灣米其林) announced the latest Bib Gourmand Selection on Tuesday (Aug. 20), featuring 126 eateries across the island. New entries include Sinchao Rice Shoppe (心潮飯店), Huang Chi Braised Pork (黃記魯肉飯), Hsiu Ming Pig Heart Glass Noodles (秀明豬心冬粉), and Liang Chia Pig Knuckle (良佳豬腳).
The 2024 Bib Gourmand recommendations, revealed in a press release by Taiwan Michelin, recognize restaurants offering value-for-money dining experiences. Customers can enjoy quality meals at moderate prices at these selected venues.
Taiwan Michelin noted that the list includes 43 restaurants in Taipei, 27 in Taichung, 31 in Tainan, and 25 in Kaohsiung. Among the 16 new entries, over half serve local Taiwanese delicacies and snacks.
In Taipei, five new restaurants made the list: Sinchao Rice Shoppe, Huang Chi Braised Pork, Noodle House (麵鋪), Soft Power(軟食力), and Pàng.
Taichung saw two new additions, Li Xiao Lou (裡小樓) and Ajisai (繡球), while Tainan welcomed three new entries: Bue mi .Lab (麥謎食驗室), Eat to Fat (添厚), and Yeh San Duck Thick Soup (葉桑生炒鴨肉焿).
Kaohsiung added five new entries this year: Hsiu Ming Pig Heart Glass Noodles, Mai Yen Shun (賣塩順), Chun Lan Gua Bao (春蘭割包), Simmer House (小燉食室), and Liang Chia Pig Knuckle.
Food enthusiasts can look forward to exploring these newly recognized spots, celebrating Taiwan's rich culinary heritage and diverse flavors.
