TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Chunghwa Post announced on Monday (Aug. 5) the release of a commemorative stamp pack featuring Taiwanese badminton ace Tai Tzu-ying (戴資穎). The stamp, which showcases Tai in action on the court, will be available for pre-order starting Tuesday.
Tai recently competed in the Olympic Games despite an injury. She faced a tough match against her long-time rival, Ratchanok Intanon, from Thailand, and did not advance to the quarterfinals. Chunghwa Post stated in a press release that the stamp pack, named "Badminton with Tai" (羽戴同行郵摺), honors Tai's contributions to Taiwan's badminton field.
The pack, priced at NT$350, will be available for pre-order at post offices and on the Postal Stamps Mall website starting Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. Customers can pick up their orders at post offices starting Sept. 20 or receive them by mail. The stamp pack features a horizontal trifold design with vibrant geometric patterns depicting Tai's dynamic presence on the court. It includes a horizontal stamp, two player cards, and two postcards, all bearing Tai's signature.
Chunghwa Post described the design as lively and elegant, making it a valuable collectible. Fans and collectors can look forward to securing this special memorabilia, celebrating one of Taiwan's most iconic athletes.
