TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan's badminton men's doubles team, Lee Yang (李洋) and Wang Chi-lin (王齊麟), secured a hard-fought victory against Denmark's Kim Astrup and Anders Skaarup Rasmussen on Sunday (July 28) Paris time at the Olympic Games. The match ended with scores of 21-15, 19-21, and 21-15, marking their second win in the group stage.

Despite not being in peak form, the duo managed to advance, showing promising prospects. Wang admitted that after failing in the second game's serves and receives, they played more conservatively in the third game. Although they initially led the rounds, a series of mistakes allowed their opponents to close the gap.

Lee expressed hope for their next match, aiming for both players to perform well and gradually regain their best form. He highlighted the need to adjust their serve-receive rhythm as a crucial area for improvement.

Currently, the pair leads their group with two wins, but both players acknowledged the uncertainty of their future matches until their advancement is confirmed. Fans across Taiwan eagerly anticipate this Olympic gold medal duo's continued success in Paris.
