TAIPEI (TVBS News) — European Economic and Trade Office (EETO) Director Filip Grzegorzewski reflected on his tenure in Taiwan on Monday (July 22), expressing his gratitude in Mandarin and Taiwanese, stating, "I will return to Taiwan in the future" (未來還會回來台灣).
President Lai Ching-te (賴清德) awarded Grzegorzewski the Order of Brilliant Star (大綬景星勳章) for his contributions. During his speech, Grzegorzewski remarked that he was pleased to witness Taiwan becoming part of the EU's Indo-Pacific Strategy during the five-year term.
Lai praised Grzegorzewski's innovative spirit, stating that Director Grzegorzewski has shown an innovative spirit by writing a new chapter in Taiwan-EU cooperation across various fields.
The President also expressed optimism for the future, noting that he looks forward to deepening exchanges between Taiwan and the EU based on the foundation established by Grzegorzewski.
