TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Ministry of Labor (MOL, 勞動部) has rolled out a new incentive program for the Strong Generation (壯世代), targeting individuals aged 55 and older and those aged 45 to 54 who have retired and been out of the workforce for over three months. Those who successfully return to the workforce and have worked for at least three months will qualify for a reward ranging from NT$30,000 to NT$60,000.
The New Taipei City Employment Service Office (新北市政府就業服務處) has established a "Silver-haired Employment Service" (銀髮就業服務專區) to support this initiative. Service points in Banqiao (板橋) and Sanchong (三重) offer one-on-one career counseling to help Strong Generation job seekers.
Since February, the Keelung Regional Branch of Workforce Development Agency (基隆就業中心) has also set up a Silver-haired Employment Service (銀髮就業服務專區). This center provides in-depth consultation and vocational training, consolidating job vacancies across Keelung, Taipei City, and New Taipei City. To date, it has served 150 individuals from the Strong Generation.
Employment centers have introduced employer incentives and workplace support measures to encourage hiring. By tailoring services to meet the needs of both job seekers and employers, the centers aim to achieve precise job matches.
