TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Bafang Dumpling (八方雲集) announced on Tuesday (July 9) a price adjustment for some of its products, effective Wednesday (July 10). The company cited rising electricity costs, labor shortages, and fluctuating raw material prices as the reasons for the increase.
Bafang Dumpling will raise the prices of dumplings and potstickers by NT$0.4 to NT$0.5 per piece, an average increase of 6% to 7%. Despite these adjustments, the company emphasized that the prices of its popular hot and sour soup and corn soup will remain at NT$35. Prices for beef noodle series and beverages will also stay the same.
The company stated that it must adjust product prices in response to fluctuating raw material prices, rising electricity costs, and labor shortages to maintain the quality of the foods.
Bafang Dumpling expressed gratitude to its customers for their long-term support and promised to continue offering a variety of delicious and safe meals, using the freshest ingredients delivered daily to each store.
