TAIPEI (TVBS News) — A tragic accident on Wednesday (July 3) involving a tour bus and a car in South Korea's South Gyeongsang Province left the car driver to suffer a fatal cardiac arrest and a Taiwanese tourist injured.
South Korean media reported that the crash took place in Geoje City at 12:33 p.m. local time (11:33 a.m. Taiwan time). The car veered into the opposite lane and collided with the tour bus carrying Taiwanese tourists.
Authorities confirmed the car driver was rushed to the hospital due to cardiac arrest, while the injured Taiwanese passenger, a man in his 40s, is currently receiving treatment. According to fire authorities, the bus, operated by a South Korean driver and guide, had 21 people on board, including 19 Taiwanese tourists.
Police are actively investigating the cause of the accident.
