TAIPEI (TVBS News) — President Lai Ching-te (賴清德) and Premier Cho Jung-tai (卓榮泰) both saw an increase in approval ratings in June, according to a recent poll by My Formosa (美麗島電子報).
Lai's trustworthiness climbed to 53.7% in June, a 0.7% rise from May. His dissatisfaction rate also rose by 2.4% to 36.3%. Meanwhile, his governance satisfaction rate increased by 2.4% to 47.6%, but his dissatisfaction rate jumped by 9.4% to 34.7%.
Cho's governance satisfaction rate also increased in June, rising by 6.9% to 38.6%. However, his dissatisfaction rate significantly increased by 11.1% to 29.9%.
A significant 31.5% of respondents did not answer clearly regarding Cho's governance satisfaction rate.
The poll covered all 22 counties and cities in the country, targeting residents over 20 years old. The survey was conducted via telephone interviews from June 25 to 27, with a sample size of 1,074 successfully completed interviews.
