TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Despite recent power outage incidents, Taiwan's Minister of Economic Affairs, J.W. Kuo (郭智輝), reassured the public on Thursday (June 20) that there is no shortage of electricity. He made the statement during an interview at the Legislative Yuan, announcing plans to release power supply and demand information starting in July to ease public concerns.

"No Power Shortage," Insists Minister Kuo

Kuo addressed the media at the Legislative Yuan, responding to concerns about power supply sparked by recent power interruptions. 'There's no power shortage,'" Kuo said, a statement that he has repeated many times, aiming to dispel doubts about Taiwan's electricity supply.

Public Disclosure of Power Information
According to Kuo, the Ministry of Economic Affairs will publicize information on the baseload power from July to December, daily maintenance power reduction, and power supply. This move is intended to inform the public and provide reassurance about the nation's power situation.

Kuo further explained that the disclosure will include power demand information during the summer period and for carbon reduction in October. This transparency, he said, will allow the public to understand and provide feedback.
