TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Mainland Affairs Council (陸委會, MAC) refuted claims on Wednesday (June 13) that Chinese artist Hu Ge (胡歌) was restricted from mentioning "Shanghai" and "Blossom" during an event in Taipei.
MAC called these allegations baseless following Hu's participation in a cultural exchange event earlier that day.
Hu Ge attended the "Dialogue with the Youth" film and television experience event at the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in Taipei on Wednesday afternoon, sharing insights from his acting career.
The MAC emphasized the government's support for healthy and orderly cross-strait exchanges, highlighting that Hu's visit was part of a short-term professional exchange project.
The MAC further stressed its approval of using film and television works to enhance mutual understanding between Taiwan and China.
