TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Premier-designate Cho Jung-tai announced the fifth wave of cabinet appointments on Tuesday (April 23).
Minister of Finance Chuang Tsui-yun, Ocean Affairs Council Minister Kuan Bi-ling, Overseas Compatriots Affairs Council Minister Hsu Chia-ching, and Directorate-General of Personnel Administration Director-General Su Chun-jung will retain their positions.
The Ministry of Agriculture will be led by Acting Minister Chen Junne-jih, while the Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics will be headed by Chen Shu-tzu, the current chairperson of the Tainan City Research, Development and Evaluation Commission.
Premier Cho stated that the majority of the new cabinet leaders are incumbents who have demonstrated their dynamism in the past. He plans to leverage their team experience and professional leadership for a smoother transition and subsequent work for the "active and innovative cabinet."
Cho emphasized that they will strive for reconciliation and coexistence between the ruling and opposition parties, and social prosperity through cooperation. He expressed hope for a new era of shared prosperity through cooperation.
