TAIPEI (TVBS News) — China Airlines announced Monday (April 8) its 2024 recruitment plan, aiming to hire nearly 100 aviation professionals, including customer service staff, finance personnel, information technology engineers, and maintenance staff. The airline will also recruit pilots throughout the year.
The recruitment period will run for two weeks, from April 8 to April 21. Applicants must have a university degree or higher and a TOEIC score of 600 or equivalent English certification.
Successful candidates will report for duty in mid-July and undergo professional and general training. Customer service staff will receive training in various skills, including membership and ticketing services. Finance personnel will handle cargo revenue accounting, fuel business, financial management, budget review, and aviation materials procurement. Information technology engineers will be recruited for application development, network security, and infrastructure.
China Airlines will also continuously recruit 12 pilots throughout the year. Recruitment briefings will be held in various locations in the north, central, and south. Applicants must have a valid English proficiency certificate within the past two years, including a TOEIC score of 750 (listening 400) or above, and a TOEIC speaking and writing test score of 140 or above, or an IELTS score of 5.5 or above.
Selected pilots will be sponsored by China Airlines to attend foreign flight schools for 10 to 12 months of basic flight training. After completing the training, they will return to Taiwan for about a year of civil aviation-related training. Those who pass all training and assessments will be appointed as co-pilots.
