YILAN (TVBS News) — Taiwan's popular band Accusefive attracted over 40,000 fans to their second concert in Yilan on Sunday (March 17), prompting a surge in local tourism. The concert, part of the band's 2024 SUPER LIVE TOUR ‘Around the New World,’ produced more than NT$ 200 million in tourism revenue for the county.
The performance, featuring an impressive 120-second fireworks show and a line-up of classic songs such as "The Only" and "Between Thoughts," managed to fill every hotel room in the area highlighting the band's popularity.
Accusefive, known for their high-energy and engaging performances, invited more than 50 guitar club students from four schools, including their own alma mater, to perform their popular song "Thinking of You in the Starry Night."
The concert's success and its sold-out crowd of 40,000 across two nights was unprecedented in Yilan's history and set a new record for Accusefive. An estimated 8,000 fireworks were launched over the two days in a spectacle reminiscent of a carnival.
Accusefive’s highly anticipated performance subsequently claimed the number one spot on Google's entertainment search rankings proving their immense popularity.
