TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Taiwan Beer Leopards professional basketball team announced on Monday (March 18) that it has finalized renewal terms with DeMarcus Cousins, who is set to return to Taiwan in mid-April.
Cousins expressed excitement to return to Taiwanese courts and aspired to strive alongside his Leopards teammates.
Not only does he aim for the postseason, but Cousins also hopes to help the team clinch the overall championship. "The fervent support from fans has invaluable worth to me," he said.
The Leopards plan to compete against Taipei Mars and Kaohsiung Auas in three matches and view Cousins as a strong reinforcement, hoping to challenge the postseason with their finest lineup.
Before Cousins left Taiwan for the U.S. on Jan. 31 this year, fans with fervent calls urged him to stay and continue playing in Taiwan.
During his stay, Cousins, with his approachable manner, has earned the love of many fans and successfully attracted a substantial number of faithful followers.
