TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwanese rock band, Mayday, sparked excitement among their fans Thursday (March 14) as rumors circulated about a possible Beijing concert tour in May.
Posts on Weibo, China's microblogging platform, suggest that starting from May 18 to June 1, Mayday is allegedly scheduled to hold 10 consecutive concerts at the Beijing National Stadium, commonly known as the "Bird's Nest." If confirmed, this will mark Mayday's eighth appearance at this venue.
However, Mayday's music label, B'in Music, responded to the speculation, advising fans to rely on their official announcements for accurate information.
In 2023, Mayday faced allegations of lip-syncing during their China tour. The band's lead vocalist, Ashin, silenced the critics at the tour's final concert in Paris with his live performance and won applause from fans.
Beyond the potential China tour, Mayday is also preparing for an imminent concert in Taiwan. The highly-anticipated concert, celebrating Marday's 25th anniversary, is scheduled for March 23 at the Kaohsiung National Stadium.
