TAOYUAN (TVBS News) — The Taoyuan Children's Art Center (TCAC) in QingPu will begin trial operations from April 3, with free entry available until the end of September.
The TCAC is Taiwan's first children's art center primarily dedicated to modern art, spanning an area exceeding 2000 ping (a Taiwanese unit of area), and is characterized by predominantly white architectural decor.
The art center comprises four levels, each housing different facilities such as exhibition halls, an international lecture hall, a children's art library, workshops, and an outdoor viewing platform.
Throughout April, the center will also host a series of markets and lectures, with the first themed exhibition, "Where The Adventure Begins," set to invite families to participate.
The Taoyuan's Department of Cultural Affairs announced in February that the TCAC plans to charge full tickets at NT$100 in the future.
However, residents of Taoyuan City or the city cardholders, students above 18, military-police-firefighting personnel, can avail tickets at a discounted price of NT$50, and group tickets for more than 20 people will run for NT$60.
Meanwhile, citizens under 18 and above 65 will be granted free entrance, the department noted.
