TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Premier Chen Chien-jen and Legislative Speaker Han Kuo-yu held a private meeting that lasted nearly 30 minutes this Saturday (Feb. 17).
After the meeting, Chen said that the Executive Yuan and the Legislative Yuan would cooperate fully to do work that would benefit the nation and the people and that they would work hard to push forward.
Han Kuo-yu said that the Legislative Yuan will definitely cooperate with the Executive Yuan, and that as long as there are things that will benefit the country and the people of Taiwan, "we will fully support them".
Alongside Chen during the meeting were Vice Premier Cheng Wen-Tsan, and Executive Yuan Secretary-General Li Meng-yen, as they visited Han and party groups from both the ruling and opposition sides.
Greetings commenced 10 minutes early as Han, accompanied by Legislative Deputy Speaker Johnny Chiang, welcomed Chen at the main entrance of the Legislative Yuan.
Following the conclusion of the meeting, both Chen and Han refrained from commenting about the discussions on food safety reports.
