TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan's booming concert scene witnessed a plethora of chart-topping performances in 2023, captivating fans with an array of spectacles from renowned artists. The KeyPo big-data engine used by DailyView analyzed online discussions to rank the top 10 concerts of the year, with the results officially released on Wednesday (Jan. 3).

At number 10, rock band Power Station, featuring guests JJ Lin and Accusefive, received a positive response for their world tour concert "Because of Love." The duo, Yu Chiu-hsin and Yen Chih-lin, hung in the largest-ever flying booth in the Taipei Arena, singing the classic song "Coat," turning the stadium into what seemed to be a giant karaoke session.

Accusefive, the ninth most discussed band of 2023, also received favorable reviews for their world tour concerts in Taiwan. In eighth place was veteran singer Rainie Yang, who touched the hearts of concertgoers at the Taipei Arena.

Ranked seventh, Hebe Tien returned to the Taipei Arena after three years, inviting several guest artists, including Waa Wei, Deserts Chang, and actor Greg Hsu.

At number six was Hong Kong superstar Eason Chan, who conveyed deep philosophical messages in his concert “Fear and Dreams,” performing 28 songs before interacting with his fans.

Placed at number five was Korean soloist Taeyeon, who held a solo concert at the Taipei Arena, performing 24 songs back-to-back. In fourth place was Taiwanese star A-Mei, who continued performing in Kaohsiung for 10 days straight, gaining applause from her dedicated fans.

British band Coldplay garnered third place for their concert in Kaohsiung, which was widely discussed for their eco-friendly practices. Taiwanese band Mayday celebrated their 25th anniversary with concert surprises and interactive engagement with fans, landing them in second place.

However, the crown for Taiwan's top concert of 2023 went to K-pop girl group BLACKPINK, whose "Born Pink" tour tickets sold out instantly in Kaohsiung, attracting nearly 90,000 fans.

For the analysis, data was collected from various digital platforms, including Facebook, YouTube, news media, discussion boards, and blogs from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2023.
