TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwanese pop star Nick Chou was rushed to the hospital on Monday (Dec. 25) due to a severe cold. A frustrated Chou posted on social media, saying, "Don't mess with me as the New Year is approaching."
In an Instagram story, Chou shared a photo of himself receiving an IV drip in the emergency room, expressing frustration over his physical condition and urging his fans to stay safe and wear masks when they step out.
He was slated to perform at the New Year's Eve celebration in Taichung Central Park.
The star, popular on both sides of the Taiwan Strait for his hit "So Handsome We Broke Up," enjoys high popularity.
As New Year's Eve is approaching, end-of-year concerts and many commercial performances are the most important tasks for many artists. Chou's illness has raised considerable concern among his fans.
