TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Rensingeatshot, a lifestyle food brand founded by Selina of the Taiwanese popular girl band S.H.E and her team, announced Tuesday (Dec. 26), that it will formally cease operations next month, due to inflation and other economic challenges.
"We are truly reluctant to make this decision," a statement on the company's Facebook page read. "But this isn't a farewell; we're spreading our wings toward better choices."
Rensingeatshot's decision comes after the pandemic's impact on the global economy in 2023 and hyperinflation, which led to increased materials and manufacturing costs.
With an increasingly competitive advertising market, the company faced difficulty finding a balance between production costs and market-acceptable product prices.
Founded by Selena and her team, Rensingeatshot initially gained traction with its instant porridge products. Over time, the brand expanded to offer instant drinks, tea bags, and waffles, among other goods. The brand made its official debut in January 2021.
The company confirmed that it will formally end its product line on Jan. 21, 2024, and cease sales on its official Website. This termination will not, however, affect any collaborations with other brands.
