TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Presidential Office hosted a press conference on Monday (Dec. 18) to reveal the 2024 Lunar New Year greeting cards from the president and vice president, in anticipation of the Year of the Dragon.
Presidential Office Spokesperson Olivia Lin stated that the greeting card conveys blessings for the Lunar New Year, using the dragon zodiac sign's symbolism to wish prosperity, peace, safety, and well-being for the nation.
Designed by Yen Po-chun, the card combines a dragon image with Taiwan's scenic landscapes, capturing the festive spirit of the season.
This year's card features an "Mp4" format, creatively blending the dragon motif with 2024 and "LOVE," symbolizing Taiwan's vitality, hope, and vision for progress.
Recipients of the cards include heads of state, vice heads of state, international dignitaries, ambassadors, representatives to Taiwan, local government officials, overseas Chinese community leaders, legislators, and leaders in academia, culture, and business.
