TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan's badminton star, Tai Tzu-ying, mounted a remarkable comeback to secure a spot in the Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Tour Finals on Saturday (Dec. 16), defeating South Korea's An Se-young after trailing 10-19 in the deciding game.
In a high-stakes semifinal lasting 72 grueling minutes, Tai staged an impressive 12-1 run to clinch victory. She attributed her success to determination and steady improvement during the match.
Despite still recovering from an injury, Tai is determined and patient for the upcoming final match against Carolina Marin of Spain. The two rivals, with a balanced 11 wins each in their 22 meetings, will compete for Tai's fourth career gold at the season-ending championships today.
