TAICHUNG (TVBS News) — Taiwan People's Party (TPP) presidential candidate Ko Wen-je's wife openly challenged the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) on Saturday (Dec. 9), stating her willingness to face legal consequences if sued by the party.
The challenge comes after Ko's wife, Peggy Chen, a day earlier, questioned the integrity of the Premier and the Minister of the Interior on Facebook. She alleged they deliberately hindered the approval process for the Taipei Dome project during Ko's term as the Mayor of Taipei City in October of the previous year.
"If the DPP wants to sue, then sue me!" Chen declared during an event in the Dali District of Taichung City.
Chen emphasized that her information came directly from Ko himself, assuring that she had made efforts to verify the claims, "I have tried hard to confirm it."
When approached about the recent polls showing a decline in Ko's support, Chen simply stated, "Just keep working hard."
