TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The 18-year-old rookie singer Bettii made a striking appearance at a press conference on Thursday (Dec. 7), delivering a heartfelt rendition of "Seven" — a song by South Korean singer Jungkook of BTS featuring American rapper Latto.
Speaking to the media, the Taiwanese singer expressed her hope to evoke as much emotion in her music as her idol from the South Korean boy band BTS.
Bettii gained recognition from Jungkook himself after covering his song "Seven." Discussing the moment Jungkook shared her cover during a live stream, she joked that "maybe I've done many good deeds," gratefully acknowledging the opportunity.
The aspiring star has put her education in Canada on hold to pursue her singing career in Taiwan. Bettii mentioned that her parents are very open-minded and supportive of her decision.
The press conference showcased Bettii's multi-instrumental talents as she played the acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and piano while singing her new songs. Currently single, she revealed that her company doesn't impose a dating ban, but finding time to socialize remains a challenge.
Bettii, whose height is 168 centimeters, shared that she hopes for a future partner to be taller than her and conceptually compatible. She also expressed admiration for the members of the K-pop group TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT).
