KAOHSIUNG (TVBS News) — The Navy's 2023 National Defense Intellectual Tour kicked off on Saturday (Nov. 11) at the Xinbin Camp in the Gushan District of Kaohsiung City. Eager attendees lined up early to participate in the day's activities, showcasing a keen interest in Taiwan's naval capabilities.
The event featured public viewings of three naval ships: the Yushan class, the ROCS Ta Chiang, and the Min Jiang-class minelayer, highlighting Taiwan's maritime defense strength.
A standout moment was the performance by the R.O.C. Naval Academy Band and the 256th Battle Division Drum Team. Their captivating music and rhythms, symbolizing national military strength, garnered enthusiastic applause from the audience.
Post-tour, visitors had the opportunity to take photos with naval personnel, creating memorable experiences of their visit.
