TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Patty Tsai, daughter of the founders of the Red Bean Dining Group and wife of the Kuomintang (KMT) deputy chairman Sean Lien, sparked online speculation of a political run after posting an image seeming like an election campaign on Wednesday (Nov. 8).
On her official Facebook page, the picture featured Tsai in a pink and white striped suit, a radiant side profile, and a product from the food brand she founded in 2017.
Instead of making any political announcement, Tsai's creative move aimed to reveal her brand's participation in the Double 11 Shopping Festival in 2023.
The social media post is to rebel against unscrupulous products, combat food safety risks, and provide the public with better services and culinary products.
Tsai's playful evocation of an election campaign sparked a flurry of support online, with many users endorsing her leaving comments, such as "You have my full support," and "Hello, Legislator Tsai."
