TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Republic of China Army (ROCA) has established three defense principles in response to the growing number of military drones from China.
Minister of National Defense(MND) Chiu Kuo-cheng stated that violating these principles indicates hostile intentions, regardless of whether the drones crashed into the sea.
According to media reports, the three principles are troops on standby may prioritize firearms use but must consider the range for target shooting, whether shot drones fell into the water, and if ships were caught within a three-kilometer radius.
Minister Chiu emphasized that the MND has simple regulations to ensure a mutual understanding of how violations should be handled.
Colonel Sun Li-fang, speaking on behalf of the MND, stressed the urgency for the ROCA to act swiftly to detect hostile behaviors on the opposing side.
