TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Approximately 100,000 individuals have yet to claim their NT$6,000 from tax surplus as of Sunday (Oct. 29) evening, according to an estimation by a Chinese-language online news platform.
The online news platform calculated the numbers from the 6000.gov.tw website and reported approximately 23.45 million people have collected their money, leaving roughly 100,000 who are yet to do so.
The National Treasury Administration has strongly urged those eligible who have yet to claim their money to do so before the deadline on Oct. 31.
Additionally, the administration emphasizes that the government will not make proactive phone calls, send text messages, or use emails to request personal data or notify recipients about their payments.
