TAIPEI (TVBS News) — A recent poll released Friday (Oct. 27) by online magazine My Formosa for the 2024 presidential election revealed that Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) presidential candidate Lai Ching-te currently holds the lead.
Lai is leading with 34.7% in a three-way race, according to the survey., while the gap between Taiwan People's Party (TPP) presidential candidate Ko Wen-je and Kuomintang (KMT) presidential candidate Hou Yu-ih is reportedly narrow, with only 0.5% difference.
The survey indicated that Lai's lead would persist even if independent candidate Terry Gou joined the race. Gou is currently collecting signatures to obtain a spot on the ballot.
My Formosa carried out this survey between Oct. 23 and Oct. 25. The online magazine completed the survey with 1,470 individuals, with a maximum margin of error of ±2.6% and a confidence level of 95%.
